You find icebergs of all shapes and sizes. I even saw one in the shape of a cave. But you can’t go close to them because you can get stuck. The ships are carefully navigated through the narrow passages because what you see is actually the tip of the iceberg, just about 20 per cent of it. 80 per cent is underneath.”
Искра: Juhi's family at the mini post office outside Port Lockroy museum While activities like canoeing and snowshoeing are common in Antarctica, Juhi enjoyed the educational part of her trip the most. “We had a marine biologist and a historian on board. So wherever we’d stop, they’d tell us a little about the history of the place and its flora and fauna. There was a photographer too, who’d give us amazing tips on how to click good pictures.” Her children, however, were most excited about snowball fights. “After some time my kids had seen so many penguin colonies and sea lions sunning themselves that they preferred to play with the snow. My husband and kids would time and again get into fun snow fights. We also trekked a lot there. So on our way down the slopes, when we’d get bored of walking, we’d get on our butts and slide. It was so much fun.”

It’s like a challenge for everyone who goes there. I couldn’t do it because I didn’t go trekking with them that evening. It was the last day of our trip so I really wish I had. It’s a daredevil thing to do because it’s freezing cold.” Nonetheless, the entire trip is special to the actress. “It’s surely one of my most memorable family holidays ever. It was a breathtaking experience. This is one holiday I feel everyone must take.” Sure thing.
